1. The 100% On-Device Guarantee

Document Text Extractor for Claude operates entirely inside your own browser window. We intentionally designed this extension using on-device WebAssembly (Tesseract OCR technology) to guarantee your absolute privacy.

• No text or image data ever leaves your computer.
• Everything is processed sequentially on your local machine's memory.
• We do not communicate with external servers or remote databases.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Because of our strictly local architecture, we state emphatically that we DO NOT collect, store, transmit, log, or sell any of the following data:

• Personally identifiable information (PII)
• Your chat history or document contents
• Financial, health, or authentication information
• Web browsing history or tracking analytics

3. How We Use Permissions

Our extension asks for the strict minimum permissions necessary for it to function over the `claude.ai` and `anthropic.com` networks:

• Host Permissions: We only request access to Claude's domains to place our interactive highlight borders on top of your document previews, and to legitimately bypass browser constraints when reading your images locally into our offline OCR engine.
• Offscreen Document: We use Chrome's isolated "offscreen" ecosystem strictly to run the heavy math for image text-extraction without slowing down your active chat experience.

4. Third-Party Services

This extension exists solely to augment the user interface of Claude (an Anthropic service). When using this extension, you inherently remain subject to the overarching Privacy Policies and Terms of Service outlined by Anthropic, LLC. We act exclusively as a local software overlay and filter.

5. Changes to This Policy

If we ever introduce radically different technology to our extension that alters this strictly local on-device paradigm, we will notify users through an extension update and revise this page prior to any active changes.
